He's Gonzo...

The Attorney General of the Untied States, Alberto Gonzales, lying and misleading the Congress while under oath? What was this guy thinking, unless he was just carrying the water for his political patron, the president?

Did Bush know about the firings and back the idea of getting rid of the attorneys general who were recently dismissed for reasons of "incompetence?" ... and did Bush support the idea of having some Senators lean on the AG's who were taking on the prosecution of Republicans and not, to their minds, pursuing Democats aggresively enough? It's reasonable to think that this kind of matter would come up in the Oval Office, highly likely now that we know Karl Rove was in to eat least his waist in the matter.

Now, THAT would be the impeachable offense that Washington attorneys could get their thick minds around.
